Microsoft Ignite just kicked off, and like usual had quite a few important announcements and product updates. One of those announcements made during the Keynote was regarding a new tool for Teams, Microsoft Places.
Places will be coming soon in preview, and will provide:
- Dashboards and views of which days people on your team will be in the office.
- Presence indicators for people's physical location (in office, remote or mobile).
- See workspaces and workstations that are booked or make a reservation.
- Wayfinding and navigation from within your office location.
This new app promises to deliver on a couple of key elements that have become more popular as the world of remote work has quickly evolved over the past few years.
