Director of Marketing & Communications
"I love helping people. The fun of marketing is in understanding what the client needs and delivering solutions that make their lives easier."
It’s this natural curiosity about people and organizations combined with a determination and strong work ethic that Carolyn hopes will help her find ways to show both technical and non-technical clients alike, how Aerie products can help solve their business problems and allow them to rest easier at night.
With more than 15 years of professional experience in the consumer products industry, Carolyn has built a solid foundation in Brand & Product Management at multinational marketing powerhouses that include Procter & Gamble, Kao Brands (John Frieda) along with the leading national natural products company, Seventh Generation. This experience, combined with work as a Marketing Consultant to small and mid-sized brands including Walkers Shortbread and GoGo SqueeZ, gives her a unique perspective and ability to understand a broad array of business challenges.
Carolyn started to realize her marketing & communications skills at the ripe age of 11 when she started selling homemade ribbon barrettes at elementary school, supported by marketing materials showing styles and color options. She graduated to winning door-to-door magazine fundraising contests and then creating her own costume jewelry making business lasting through college.
A New Yorker at heart, Carolyn works with a sense of urgency and enjoys a little sarcasm but wouldn’t trade the beautiful Green Mountains and Lake Champlain for the hustle and bustle any day!
